A group of animals live on a wild coastline and try to heal the ills caused by the contemporary world. A kind of rehab.
What if there existed a special resort for the animals of the Cocomelon-Disney kind where they could exorcise a little, express their grievances, and poke each other’s eyes out, only to be catapulted back into the stream afterwards? In HOW ARE YOU?, Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel create a space ad infinitum, stuck in-between animation and digital realms, and dominated by video game conventions: a pasture of anxiety that parodies both the happiness industry proliferated by children’s cartoons and the hypocrisy of those living undisturbed on personal islands when elsewhere everything is burning.
